Biography
Trycennia Dean-Motley's journey at WSU began in April 1996 when she served as a property manager at Wayne State University Housing Authority, where she effectively managed four graduate/faculty apartment facilities. Her strong ties to the University of Toledo, where she is a proud alumnus, are evident in her role as a charter member of the Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated undergraduate chapter Alpha Pi. She holds influence and honor in this position, a testament to her leadership. She continues to serve her sorority on all levels, including her current internationally elected Director of Life Members position.
Trycennia's passion for serving students, their families, and campus partners is reflected in the awards and accolades earned over her long career with the Office of Housing and Residential Life. Her two most recent awards include "Warriors Who Care" and "Warrior Heroes."
Trycennia leverages her experience, influence, and leadership as the Associate Director of Housing Operations to advocate for students' needs and to help illuminate their path to graduation. She is widely recognized as a mentor and leader, and her enthusiasm and team spirit shine through her love for collaborating with campus partners to serve students.
