Biography
Matthew M. McLain has served as the Assistant Director to the Wayne State University Colonel Gregory Gadson Office of Military & Veterans Academic Excellence (Gadson OMVAE) since he oversaw its creation in 2012. Matthew began working with the WSU military community in 2004 and has been with Wayne State University since 1999.
Having earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from Wayne State in 2002, Matthew went on to pursue graduate studies in Linguistics the following year. Over the past twenty plus years, Matthew has served on numerous committees and boards, local and national, aimed at assisting military veterans in higher education including the Consortium of Michigan Veteran Educators, the Association of Veterans Education Certifying Officials, and the National Association of Veterans' Program Administrators. Matthew also served as the Wayne State University Alumni Association Vice President in 2014/2015.
