Biography

Nick Boyd is the Associate Director of Operations with Student Center and Campus Reservations. He is responsible for overseeing the effective and efficient execution of events throughout the Student Center, McGregor Memorial Conference Center, Community Arts Auditorium, St. Andrew's Hall, State Hall, STEM building, and various outdoor spaces throughout campus. In addition, he manages facilities maintenance processes for these spaces in partnership with campus colleagues, ensuring they are functional and comfortable for students and guests. In this role, Nick assists with the development of student life and engagement on Wayne State's campus. He has served in this role since 2022.

Prior to serving as the Associate Director of Operations, Nick served as an Operations Supervisor in the Student Center, primarily overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and procurement of audio visual support and equipment in the spaces mentioned above. He served in this role from 2019 until 2022. Nick is an event professional, with 14 years of experience supporting events throughout Metro Detroit. He holds a BFA in Theatre Design and Technology with a focus on Stage Management from Wayne State's College of Fine, Performing, and Communication Arts, and is a current MBA candidate in the Mike Ilitch School of Business.
